Its location could not be better. Right in the heart of
St James, or clubland as it is also known, a mere stone's throw away from Jermyn Street, Berry Brothers, John
Lobb and the likes, this is about as central as it gets in London. However,
unlike many bigger competitors that are right on big streets, this little 60-room
hotel is tucked away in a side street, which means that you can sleep much quieter
here.
As the hotel is smaller than many luxury hotels, with 60
rooms, you will notice that the service here is not only professional and
friendly, but treats you as a person, not a number. In times when the
supposedly best hotels in the world offer nothing but anonymous service, this
is a welcome change.
Furthermore, what makes this a beautiful hotel in every
respect is the decoration. The people who designed the rooms and lounge really
understand how one creates a feeling of understated luxury that doesn't come
across as being cold. Whether you stay in one of the beautiful suites (some
with their own terraces) or a normal room, these must be the most beautiful
hotel rooms in London.
That in a nutshell is what makes this hotel an interesting
one: Its location, the service and the decoration. Rarely does a property
manage to tick all the boxes, but here they do.
